Throughout this year we honor polio survivors, those still living with paralysis and the contributions made by Dr. Jonas Salk who invested his whole being to help find a cure for polio. On April 12, 2005, the March of Dimes will pay homage to the discovery of the Salk Vaccine on this 50th anniversary of Dr. Salk's work. And on April 30th, be sure not to miss HBO Films Warm Springs -- starring Kenneth Branagh and Cynthia Nixon. This powerful film chronicles the life of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, from the challenges he faced when polio struck, and how the waters of Warm Springs, Georgia helped him, and thousands of others.
